An Engine Monitor is only as good as its probes. That’s why Electronics International (EI) has taken the development of its probes, connectors, and accessories very seriously. I like being able to get a hold of a technical expert immediately when calling into the main EI phone number… The build quality of the sensors, display unit and EDC seem very good… I appreciate the business practices of EI and have had an EI R-1 Tachometer which has worked flawlessly for the past 20 years.
Working with EI representatives from the OSHKOSH show and sales representative has been a pleasant and positive experience. They have been very helpful, truthful and knowledgeable about EI’s products. I have yet to see the MVP-50P in action in our plane. Waiting for the Top Overhaul to be completed. We are glad we secured your product at the airshow. We had no idea, that a few weeks later, we would need to have a Top Overhaul. What great timing! Having your engine monitor installed in our plane will hopefully help us keep it out of the shop for further engine repairs.
I was able to try out the CGR-30P in a flight school plane. I was very impressed with the ease of use, visual quality, and information provided on the main screen… I feel it will pay for itself in fuel savings, and extended engine time before overhaul.
Customer Service is far superior… with an excellent record of resolving … technical issues.

Installing [EI’s FP-5L] in my RV 6. . . owned an FP-5L 6 years ago in a Cessna 206 on floats in a commercial operation in Alaska. Getting every ounce of payload, and coming home across Cook Inlet with the Cessna gas gauges near or on empty, I spent a lot of time explaining the benefits of the Fuel flow gauge… and reassured my passengers there were 12 gallons of fuel on board. I’m a believer…
