An Engine Monitor is only as good as its probes. That’s why Electronics International (EI) has taken the development of its probes, connectors, and accessories very seriously. EI has been designing and manufacturing probes for over 30 years. All of our probes have been designed in-house by our engineering team. Our team has studied, tested and designed temperature probes since the 1970′s. They have written research documents such as The Pilots Manual – Leaning and Diagnosing Engine Problems and Accurate CHT Measurements.
Just as an Engine Monitor is only as good as its probes, a probe is only as good as its connector. That’s why EI’s engineering team developed EI’s proprietary OLC-1 connector. The OLC-1 connector greatly increases reliability and reduces installation errors as compared to traditional type connectors. Whether you’re looking for a reliable and accurate CHT, EGT, TIT or various other probe types, EI has what you need. With more than a half million probes sold and tested you can count on EI’s reliability.
The E-1 kit includes one (1) P-110F Fast Response EGT Probe.

Great Service.
The R-1-6 is a great instrument. [I chose EI because of] quality.
After enquiring through (one of) your dealers and calling EI directly it was clear that you provided good customer service and would likely not drop the ball on tech support, and so far I have been right.
I won a FP-[5]L and had it installed in my c150. I was/am impressed with the accuracy and ease of operation of the FP. I wanted a new tach and I trust (and verified) that the EI R-1… would be my best choice. I am not a rich man. These instruments are affordable and incredibly accurate. Already planning my next buy from EI.
Installing [EI’s FP-5L] in my RV 6. . . owned an FP-5L 6 years ago in a Cessna 206 on floats in a commercial operation in Alaska. Getting every ounce of payload, and coming home across Cook Inlet with the Cessna gas gauges near or on empty, I spent a lot of time explaining the benefits of the Fuel flow gauge… and reassured my passengers there were 12 gallons of fuel on board. I’m a believer…
E.I. Always Exceeds Expectations!
[I chose the CGR-30P because of its] ease of use.
I have been flying with EI instruments for over 20 years. I purchased the CGR-30P to update my engine instruments into one modern package.
Just about to begin flying with the EI MVP-50P, so no in-flight feedback yet. But I did study the user manual, then sat in my plane going through the screens, menus, etc. It was very easy and intuitive to locate everything, so I’m confident that it will become second nature to do this in flight… Very happy with all interactions with EI.
The layout and quality is impressive.
EI has the best customer service of any company that I’ve ever dealt with.
