An Engine Monitor is only as good as its probes. That’s why Electronics International (EI) has taken the development of its probes, connectors, and accessories very seriously. EI has been designing and manufacturing probes for over 30 years. All of our probes have been designed in-house by our engineering team. Our team has studied, tested and designed temperature probes since the 1970′s. They have written research documents such as The Pilots Manual – Leaning and Diagnosing Engine Problems and Accurate CHT Measurements. Easy install and great gauges. Previous experience showed that EI’s units were… great prices and even better instruments. Being able to install the gauge as a primary instrument was a major plus.
[EI’s FP-5L with Aux Carb Temp Option] gave me fuel flow & Carby temp & was easy to retrofit.
Great Product, that provides a lot of very helpful engine data in an easy to use and see display! We are already finding cylinder cooling issues that we would’ve never known about before, and probably explains why we’ve had to replace that specific cylinder in the past. EI customer service on questions on how we wanted to set ours up was very helpful and positive. The CGR-30 had quite a few positive reviews online from other users.

Just about to begin flying with the EI MVP-50P, so no in-flight feedback yet. But I did study the user manual, then sat in my plane going through the screens, menus, etc. It was very easy and intuitive to locate everything, so I’m confident that it will become second nature to do this in flight… Very happy with all interactions with EI.
Much better quality with the bezel and buttons and knobs [vs. competition]. Also much easier to navigate and add fuel.
The equipment is fantastic, very intuitive, and easy to use.
