The BC-5R is a multifunction Data Recorder, designed to record data in five categories. The BC-5R is encased in a 3.80″ x 2.64″ x 1.6″ gold-plated enclosure. The BC-5R can be mounted under the instrument panel or in an equipment bay. It comes equipped with a USB cable and data stick for accessing stored data.

Time Stamps:

The BC-5R monitors and records bus voltage to the instrument.

Engine and Aircraft Data Recording (Channels 1–7):

The first seven channels of the BC-5R are configured to interface with Electronics International’s (E.I.’s) engine/aircraft instruments.

Customer Testimonials

I was able to try out the CGR-30P in a flight school plane. I was very impressed with the ease of use, visual quality, and information provided on the main screen… I feel it will pay for itself in fuel savings, and extended engine time before overhaul.

Great company to deal with. Excellent customer service. [I chose this E.I. instrument because it’s] simple and easy to use.

Dale C. from Ohio
Cessna 182D Skylane

Working with EI representatives from the OSHKOSH show and sales representative has been a pleasant and positive experience. They have been very helpful, truthful and knowledgeable about EI’s products. I have yet to see the MVP-50P in action in our plane. Waiting for the Top Overhaul to be completed. We are glad we secured your product at the airshow. We had no idea, that a few weeks later, we would need to have a Top Overhaul. What great timing! Having your engine monitor installed in our plane will hopefully help us keep it out of the shop for further engine repairs.

Phillip B. from Oklahoma

Errol O. from Ontario, Canada
Cessna 182 Skylane

I like being able to get a hold of a technical expert immediately when calling into the main EI phone number… The build quality of the sensors, display unit and EDC seem very good… I appreciate the business practices of EI and have had an EI R-1 Tachometer which has worked flawlessly for the past 20 years.

Eric B. From Texas
Grumman American AA-5B Tiger

Just about to begin flying with the EI MVP-50P, so no in-flight feedback yet. But I did study the user manual, then sat in my plane going through the screens, menus, etc. It was very easy and intuitive to locate everything, so I’m confident that it will become second nature to do this in flight… Very happy with all interactions with EI.
