Very accurate readings! The “analog” style LED arc means at-a-glance tach readings that allow the pilot to keep his attention where it matters, not reading a gauge. The digital readout is great for maintenance checks and mag drop tests.
This is the third EI instrument I am having installed in “Lillybelle .” I am impressed with the ease of operation, the affordability and the accuracy of each of these instruments. For years I trusted my life to 50+ year old gauges. Now I don’t have to. What a relief!
Installing [EI’s FP-5L] in my RV 6. . . owned an FP-5L, 6 years ago in a Cessna 206 on floats in a commercial operation in Alaska. Getting every ounce of payload, and coming home across Cook inlet with the Cessna gas gauges near or on empty, I spent a lot of time explaining the benefits of the Fuel flow gauge… and reassured my passengers there were 12 gallons of fuel on board.
