Improve Your Connection Reliability with Crimpers and Ferrules

Avoid Common Wire Connection Issues

We now offer a comprehensive kit that includes crimpers and ferrules (20 ga and 24 ga) along with our popular OLC-2 connectors, designed by our engineers with naval brass barrels, a nylon sleeve, and two set screws. This new connection method rivals the strength of gas-tight cold welds, ensuring the most reliable and long-lasting wire connections Electronics International has ever offered for your aircraft engine monitors.

Product Overview

How It Works

Wire Guide Step 1

Prepare the Wires: Strip the ends of the wires to the appropriate length.

Wire Guide Step 2

Crimp the Ferrules: Place the stripped wire ends into the ferrules and use the crimper to secure them.

Insert into OLC-2: Insert the crimped ferrule ends into the OLC-2 connector and tighten the set screws.

Crimp the ferrule.

Snip off any excess wire that may be protruding through the end of the ferrule terminal.

Pull on the crimped ferrule (3 to 4lbs) to ensure that it is firmly attached to the wire.

Insert the crimped ferrule into OLC-2 and tighten with a hex wrench until the hex wrench flexes (3 inches lbs). Repeat on the opposite end to complete your connection.

Pull on wires (3 to 4lbs) to ensure that your connections on both sides of the OLC-2 are firm and secure.

I have been flying with EI instruments for over 20 years. I purchased the CGR-30P to update my engine instruments into one modern package.

Brian C. from Florida

I have used your products in every airplane that I have owned over the years and have never had a problem. Thank You

Gregory V. from New Hampshire
Cessna A185F Skywagon and AgCarryall

Working with EI representatives from the OSHKOSH show and sales representative has been a pleasant and positive experience. They have been very helpful, truthful and knowledgeable about EI’s products. I have yet to see the MVP-50P in action in our plane. Waiting for the Top Overhaul to be completed. We are glad we secured your product at the airshow. We had no idea, that a few weeks later, we would need to have a Top Overhaul. What great timing! Having your engine monitor installed in our plane will hopefully help us keep it out of the shop for further engine repairs.

Phillip B. from Oklahoma

Excellent Service. Superb Product.

Steven N. from Colorado

This is the third EI instrument I am having installed in “Lillybelle .” I am impressed with the ease of operation, the affordability and the accuracy of each of these instruments. For years I trusted my life to 50+ year old gauges. Now I don’t have to. What a relief!

Charles M. from South Dakota
Cessna 150F

Great product. [I chose EI because] you have no competition.

Barry B. from Louisiana

We love our MVP-50P w/ its crisp, intuitive display and ease of operation.

Installing [EI’s FP-5L] in my RV 6. . . owned an FP-5L 6 years ago in a Cessna 206 on floats in a commercial operation in Alaska. Getting every ounce of payload, and coming home across Cook Inlet with the Cessna gas gauges near or on empty, I spent a lot of time explaining the benefits of the Fuel flow gauge… and reassured my passengers there were 12 gallons of fuel on board. I’m a believer…
