EI representatives… have been very helpful, truthful, and knowledgeable… We had no idea, that a few weeks later [after our purchase], we would need to have a Top Overhaul. What great timing! Installing [EI’s FP-5L] in my RV 6. . . owned an FP-5L 6 years ago in a Cessna 206 on floats in a commercial operation in Alaska. Getting every ounce of payload, and coming home across Cook Inlet with the Cessna gas gauges near or on empty, I spent a lot of time explaining the benefits of the Fuel flow gauge… and reassured my passengers there were 12 gallons of fuel on board. I’m a believer…
After enquiring through (one of) your dealers and calling EI directly it was clear that you provided good customer service and would likely not drop the ball on tech support, and so far I have been right.
Very easy to install. Harness is clearly marked. Instrument worked first time. The instrument is intuitive and easy to use.
I started with a CGR-30C. I loved it so much, I added a CGR-30P… [Your customer service] was a great help configuring it and EI gave me a great deal. I am now an EI customer for life!
The OPT-1 is more readable than the factory Cessna oil pressure/temp gauges.
